Caracas, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan opposition made the recognition of the presidential elections results conditional on carrying out an audit to the April 14 votes.
Presidential candidate representing the Democratic Unity Table (MUD), Henrique Capriles attacked once more the National Electoral Council (CNE) and demanded a count.
Capriles, already defeated two times during presidential elections, assured the right-wing results differ from those presented by CNE that show socialist candidate Nicolas Maduro won the elections with a support of 50,66 percent of the votes.
Regarding Capriles declaration, Jorge Rodriguez, Chief of Hugo Chavez Command Campaign, clarified the Venezuelan electoral system is automated.
Rodriguez also highlighted Maduro requested the audit of all polling stations, expressing confidence in the transparency of the process and the solidness of the institution.
Shortly after the results of the elections was learned, minister of Defense Admiral in Chief Diego Molero affirmed the Bolivarian National armed Force will play a guarantoral role regarding the electoral results.
